For Bat-fans who play video games, our Caped Crusader has a poor track record. The best Batman game was the movie tie-in on the NES where Batman inscrutably bursts into flames on death. That ignominious record changes with Arkham Asylum.

Sunday, January 10th, 2010Much like the way peanut butter and chocolate are two great tastes that taste great together, I love genre mash-ups. Adding addictive RPG elements to other styles of game is commonplace now, but Borderlands really runs with it. It goes so far as to show damage numbers popping out of your foes as you ventilate them with your SMG, and that’s a trolley I want to ride.

God Hand [Meta-Review]
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010The astute among you may have noticed that our first post linked to the most depraved, mind-boggling article in the history of games journalism. It was such a terrible review that I have not returned to IGN except to take measure of how low the bar may permissibly be set. I may have been late in hopping on the “can’t spell ignorance without IGN” bandwagon, but what I lack in initiative I compensate for in acerbic frothing.
